In reply to Dan antion. Thank you, Dan, for your comment. I'm glad that you added a new word to your vocabulary. There are plenty of 'mukbang' videos on YouTube that you can watch. Sarah and I had plans to start our own mukbang channel but there are multiple challenges. First, we are not really comfortable in front of the camera. Second, we cannot eat so much food in one sitting. In India, Starbucks has its own loyal customers. I'm one of the regulars at Starbucks, which is why, I did a comparison. Also, speaking of Starbucks, do they yell out names out loud there as well when your coffee is ready?

This looks like my kind of place, Sharukh, especially since I’m not a fan of Starbucks coffee or their food. I love local bakeries/delis such as Theobroma. There are a number of them in Appleton, so everyone can pick their favorite place. Coming in July, we ae getting a cat cafe and I’m so excited about it!

I think you and Sarah need to continue your food research at the bakery…many trips! 🙂

It’s a good thing we haven’t gone for coffee yet, I am so hungry after reading this. I appreciate all the “research” that went into this post, Sharukh. It takes a special kind of person to go to that much trouble for his readers – thank you 😉

I also have to add that I didn’t know what ‘mukbanger’ meant. A new word for today.

On a serious note, I think it is entirely fair to compare Starbucks to a bakery like this. Starbucks tries to convince its customers that they can have it all within those ubiquitous shops, but everything they sell is over-priced, and the quality, while good, usually pales by comparison to a specialty shop.
